Gerber Good Start Gentle Formula recently asked 1,000 new moms about their sleep habits since bringing home baby, and the below findings highlight a few ways their lives have changed with the new addition in the house. For example just 1 in 10 new moms get a good night’s sleep every night.

Surrender your social life: What new moms would trade for shut-eye

  • ·         More than half would miss out on quality time with their friends
  • ·         1 in 4 would give up their cell phone for a week
  • ·         1 in 3 put a sign outside telling people not to ring the doorbell or come in

 

Mommy MacGyver: Moms go through great lengths to keep baby asleep

  • Nearly 60% tiptoe and avoid certain parts of the house, as to not make noise
  • 1 in 5 will use their hair dryer to create white noise (and only 11% will use it to actually fix their hair)

 

Baby brain: Turns out it doesn’t stop once baby is born

  • ·7 out of 10 moms have walked into a room and completely forgot what they were going to do
  •  Nearly 60% have gone to the grocery store and left without the item they needed
  • 9 in 10 new moms skip working out because of a lack of sleep
  • More than 75% wear dirty clothes to avoid doing laundry
